The company currently has a network of over 300+ outlets across 20 states serving more than 800,000 patients a year. It is the only player in the retail optical sector operating through hospitals and clinics with a 70:30 partnership.

Ben Franklin uses Industry best technology and inventory management processes to provide international-standard optical care. They have partnered with prestigious brands such as Essilor, Luxottica and the Brien Holden Vision Institute, Australia for training their employees, and have achieved the Gold Standard in Optical dispensing. 

Ventureast co-invested in the company during the Series A round in 2015. The funding will help Ben Franklin scale rapidly, build in-house brands, and target to achieve the leadership position in the highly fragmented optical retail space in India. The company aims to triple its store count in the next three years, foray into online retail, and continue to expand across the country, including tier 2 and 3 cities.
